How do I contact Panopto support? ›

If you get an error message at the video, like X-frame or the video prompts you to log in, there is an issue with your browser/cookies. Panopto supports the latest versions of Chrome, Edge (Chromium-based and legacy), Firefox, Internet Explorer (11), and Safari. Make sure, that you are not using a VPN.

If your Panopto video doesn't upload due to and interrupted Internet connection or other issues, allow some time for the upload to retry, which may take several hours. In the rare event of an upload failure to the Panopto server, the recording remains stored on the local computer.

Faculty and administrators can easily view reports in Panopto that show which students watched each video, how long students watched videos before dropping off, and more.

Android users

On Android you will find there is a screen recorder waiting to be used. To use the recorder there are a few steps you need to do by using an Android guide on how to activate screen recording. After you have made your recording, you can use the Panopto mobile app to upload your content.

Panopto Capture, by comparison, saves videos directly to the Panopto cloud. These videos are uploaded incrementally as you record. A local copy is not saved to your computer. Similarly, the Panopto Recorder software must be downloaded to your computer for you to use the software.

Additionally, if you don't have cookies enabled in your browser, Panopto can't make the connection to Canvas to find your account. Log in to Panopto

Go to the URL of your Panopto site, or select the Panopto link inside of an integrated system, such as a connected LMS. 1.1. a. If you don't know the URL of your Panopto site, you can go to Panopto.com and, in the upper right corner, select Sign In(Fig.

Uploads will take some time to process so check back in a bit to view content. Typically hour and a half long recordings, or roughly one class session takes about a half hour to 45 minutes to process and be viewable. Anything less than an hour will typically be available in under 20 minutes.

Please note: Panopto does not impose a hard limit for file size; however, it's important to note that large files are subject to network timeouts, so we recommend monitoring your upload(s) through completion. It's best to upload large files from a work station with a strong and reliable network connection.

By default, they are saved in the Panopto folder you are viewing in when you start the recording or your personal folder (My Folder) if you are on the main page. You can see and change this folder on recording upload page, as shown below.
