The chili at Gold Star was spicier but at the same time had a flatter flavor, if you know what I mean. I thought the Skyline was not as spicy-hot and had a more robust flavor. The service was friendly at both places and both restaurants were very clean and neat.
“Part of the idea behind the brand repositioning is to stop saying 'we eat chili...' when we (Cincinnatians) eat chili in a restaurant, we're not eating chili. We're eating coneys, three-ways or chili burgers.” Hamburgers aren't exactly new at Gold Star.
After 22 seasons, the Bengals concession stands will no longer serve Gold Star. The decision came as the club stares at a full plate of big-dollar endeavors: Lock in Joe Burrow long-term, plan for a needed stadium renovation, and negotiate new stadium contract terms with Hamilton County.
