What does the Strength cape do? ›

The strength cape has a teleport to the Warriors' Guild, with unlimited uses, and unlike the combat bracelet, it will teleport players inside the guild. It also has a right-click "boost" option, also activating upon equipping the cape, that temporarily boosts Strength by 1, to 100.

The Strength cape is the Cape of Accomplishment for the Strength skill. It can be purchased for 99,000 coins together with the Strength hood from Sloane (or Yadech Strongarm after completing the quest While Guthix Sleeps) at the Warriors' Guild by players who have achieved level 99 Strength.

Like all skill capes, the Defence cape gives +9 to all defensive stats, and also a +4 bonus to prayer if it is trimmed, which requires a separate skill at level 99. The cape is automatically trimmed if this condition is met. When the defence cape is equipped, players can enable the cape to act as a ring of life.

As of 1 June 2024, the top five least common skillcapes are Runecraft, Agility, Hunter, Construction and Smithing respectively, while the five most common skillcapes are Strength, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic and Cooking respectively. This is a general reflection of the difficulty it takes to train the pertaining skill.

When equipping the Prayer cape, or using the "Boost" option if it is already equipped, the player's Prayer will be temporarily increased from 99 to 100. This boost can only be used once every 60 seconds, and cannot restore Prayer points, meaning it only works at 99/99.

It has no requirements to equip, and is prized for its high defensive bonuses which match those of an untrimmed Cape of Accomplishment.

The Fletching cape's perk provides a 0.75% chance to make extra bolts, arrows, and darts. This effect stacks additively with other benefits. Experience is awarded for making extra ammunition.

The Herblore cape's perk instantly cleans all grimy herbs in the player's inventory. No experience will be gained for doing this. Up to three perks of the capes of accomplishment can be added to the max cape, the completionist cape, the trimmed completionist cape, and their master versions.

The Prayer cape is the Cape of Accomplishment for the Prayer skill. It can be purchased for 99,000 coins (or 92,000 coins with the ring of charos (a) or its imbued version) alongside the Prayer hood from Brother Jered at the Edgeville Monastery by players who have achieved level 99 Prayer.

Capes can also be used as a form of protection—in certain cases. “If the cape is against somebody's body, it would provide them with a little bit of protection, though not for very long because there's resistance, and the thrust will penetrate,” says De Longis.

Cape benefits Edit

This is especially convenient as it is the second closest available teleport to a fairy ring after the POH. Additionally, players with the maximum number of quest points will find that the prices of dreams in the Nightmare Zone are reduced by 10,000 coins.

Wearing a max cape now allows entry into the Crafting guild and the Cooking guild. The max cape now provides all skill cape perks; the "Teleports" and "Features" options were added. The max cape can now be combined with an Ava's accumulator, Fire cape, Guthix cape, Saradomin cape, and Zamorak cape.
