Picked up this cabinet a few days ago.

Story of how I got this:

An operator friend of mine had recently picked up a Final Fight conversion,

Something about the cabinet looked familiar, it looked like a Rock-Ola cab so I looked at the back and sure enough it was a G 203 - That model number means Jump Bug!

I asked him if he cared what cabinet it was in and if I swapped all the Final Fight stuff into another cabinet if I could have the Rock-Ola cab, he didn't care so I got to searching for an empty cabinet (because I had gotten rid of all cabinets that I wasn't going to restore someday)

I actually picked this cabinet back up that I had sold for cheap back in 2021

What cab is this?

Let’s play another round of What Cabinet Was This?! It’s kinda got a Konami vibe. The back vents remind me of a Konami GT cab I used to have.

I swapped all the final fight stuff over over and brought this one home.

Much better cab for Final Fight in my opinion. (I'll post pics of that when I get it completed. Just need to finish the control panel and the monitor bezel.)

It still had its power supply with is awesome as well as all the AC wiring but I am going to have to make a main board harness for it.

It looks like someone took a angle grinder with 20 grit sanding disc to the sides. I'm going to have to get that paint stripped off and see how much body work its going to need. I'll be doing white laminate.

I've already placed an order with TOG on the side art and CPO that he had in stock. I'll have to find a Marquee and a PCB.

Ill need the monitor brackets and the will have to build the plywood monitor frame. I'm hoping I can still get some repro parts from @flynn54321

Looks like an Eyes. Standard disclaimer on the side panels (which don't look half bad here):

EYES restoration (Covid lockdown project)

I picked up this cab in a Ft. Walton Beach, FL thrift shop in 1996 along with Kickman, both for a few dollars. The monitor wasn't working (I found out much later it probably only needed to have the H-hold pot adjusted, live and learn), and I didn't do anything with it for a long time, partly...

I've restored three of these so if you have any questions, let me know. Yeah and if you get a hold of Bradley, let me know that too. I really need to get some parts for a Warpwarp that I plan on building. But he disappears from the forums for years at a time, so I'm not sure if he's even around anymore.

Awesome, it will be a bit of a project will make an awesome cab Rock-Ola Cabinet pickup (now a Restore) - Jump Bug! (16)

If you need photos or anything of the inside let me know, I have an original Eyes cabinet that I also use for BitKit testing. And if you were interested in a Eyes -> Jamma adapter, I think I still have a couple of the pcbs for making one.

If anybody is making repros of those coin door decals (or better yet has an original on a peel sheet), please let me know about it.

Well, of course Rich used to make them. I think he sent me a whole bunch of them at one time about a decade ago. I may have an extra, I'll look.

Very very cool grab!! Nice to see the classics still being saved!

We have a Tetris in an original Qbert cab. I keep telling my wife I'll move Tetris into another cab, but it's her game, so I immediately get shut down LOL

That grand products 19 inch cab you have would have been a good candidate for Final Fight. Regardless, this is an excellent score. Nibbler is on my rock-ola grail list.

Great find, congrats. Having the power supply is a big plus, I had to find one for my PB, which took some time.

White laminate FTW!

How reliable are the Rock-Ola games?

That's crazy you say that, I just updated post #1 to included just that info! Much better cabinet for Final Fight.

Ha! Ironically galloping ghost has their final fight in the same cabinet. I'm a huge proponent of having games in their original cabinet when it comes to iconic locations like gg but i did actually enjoy the look of final fight in that cabinet.

I actually had a clone cabinet (the ones bundled with the ultracade) fall on my lap when i asked you to trace the original out for me. It serves my purpose but in hindsight i would have preferred the original 19" monitor version.

I still think that design is ripe for a bare bones conversion cabinet today, Even if that meant having it strictly use an LCD. the design can easily be modified to use no metal parts, trays can easily be swapped and monitor orientation can be quickly modified etc.

I was lucky he had one of each in stock.

If you do find them, I could use one for my Warp Warp.

I asked Rich if he still had any of the coin door labels left. I will report back.

I asked him back in 2019 (2018?) when I got the art for my Jump Bug restoration and he was out of em then. I'd like one too if he or anyone else has one

Excited to see your restoration, man. It's such a fun game

Rock-Ola Jump Bug Restoration

I have finally found a Rock-Ola cab that I’ll be making my Jump Bug. MTPPC here on Klov so graciously sold me a Warp Warp converted into Arkanoid 2. I’ll be tracking my restoration in this thread. The only pics I currently have(it’s still on its way) are here...
