I found this gem of a restaurant by luck. The flavor is very authentic: robust, full of flavor, and each dish is orderable with an accurate spice level of 1-5, 5 being the hottest.The dishes are prepared with minimal salt and no preservatives.I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was tasty and authentic. (had the buffet). Having been to India, I was hoping for something spicy, but everything was pretty tame. The temperature of all of the food could have been "hotter" too.
I don't get the chance to have Indian food very often and I really like it. Theirs was really tasty. Prices were good. The owners were very nice. The location was really convenient for us, right between our motel and our family we were in town to visit.

This was my first time dining at Flavor of India. The staff there were friendly, attentive, and took time to explain the spice levels of the dishes. The food was flavorful, and staff were able to tell me what dishes were gluten-free. I would recommend ordering a rice dish because not much rice accompanied the main dish to mix with the sauce. I will try different menu items when I return.
Absolutely fantastic Indian restaurant. There are at least 3 Indian buffets in Springfield and this is easily the best. My wife and I have been to maybe 20 or so different Indian restaurants all over the country and this is probably my 2nd favorite (the best I've tried is in San Antonio) and even better being a buffet. The price is reasonable, the service is always kind, and best of all the food is fantastic! Absolutely the highlight is the delicious food.The only downsides are it's in a small building and kind of hard to find and has a smallish selection, like 10 hot foods and a small salad bar. Otherwise, the food alone is worth it. Highly recommend at least once.
