A male motorcyclist in his 50s has died following a road traffic collision on Monday afternoon in Co Wicklow, Gardai confirmed. Gardai and emergency services were alerted to an incident involving a motorcyclist at Turlough Hill at approximately 12.30pm on May 20, 2024. The road has since reopened following its closure to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination in due course, with the local coroner notified of the incident. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information who witnessed the fatal collision to come forward. They said in a statement: ‘Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardai. ‘Anyone with any information is asked to contact Rathdrum Garda Station on 040 446206, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.’ Today's top videos
