Lost in the Dark Grove is the first quest for Kristoff, which has you exploring a dark portal that Donald Duck may be trapped inside!

Lost in the Dark Grove Walkthrough
Upon unlocking the Forest of Valor, go and speak to Kristoff near the corrupted Pillar. He explains that he and Donald Duck were split up a while back after Donald sprinted into the dark portal nearby.

Enter the portal and pick up the feather on the floor in the Dark Grove. Go back through the portal and show Kristoff what you found. Go and show Merlin the feather, who will request that you help craft a tracking spell with the following materials:
- 1 Donald Feather
- 2 Emeralds - Available in Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust
- 1 Plant from the Dark Grove
- 4 Dream Shards - Available in random digging spots
With those materials in hand, bring them back to Merlin and he’ll give you the Enchanted Feather. Return to the Dark Grove and follow the floating feather until you reach Donald Duck.
Speak to him and he’ll give you the Orb of Courage. Pass through the portal that appears behind Donald and place the Orb into the Pillar to summon Donald back into the valley.
Donald will thank you and give you a Diary Page while concluding the quest!
