Maa Bagalamukhi, one of the ten Mahavidyas, is also known as Pitambara Devi or The Yellow Robe Goddess. Her avatar, Bagalamukhi, is a unique depiction of a crane-headed goddess, symbolising her penetrating power. This power enables her followers to see through the obstacles of ignorance, leading them to wisdom and clarity.
Auspicious Time to Worship Maa Bagalamukhi
On the day of Bagalamukhi Jayanti, there are two auspicious times to offer piety and pray for the goddess's blessings. The first auspicious period, known as Brahma Muhurta, begins at 04:13 AM on May 15th and ends at 05:01 AM. It is considered the most favourable one for spiritual practices since the atmosphere is charged with divine energy.
The second auspicious window is during Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga, which commences on May 14, 2024, at 01:05 PM and continues until May 15, 2024, at 05:49 AM. It is a time when seekers and spiritual aspirants are particularly active in their pursuit of fulfilling all their desires and attaining their spiritual goals. Devotees can decide to perform prayers and rituals in either of the two auspicious times.
Method of Worship (Pooja Vidhi)
The traditional worship of Maa Bagalamukhi, known as the Pooja Vidhi, is a divine ceremony. It involves the recitation of hymns, offering of flowers and incense, and other sacred items. The key element is the sincere prayers and devotion to the goddess, appealing for her blessings.
The Pooja Vidhi usually starts with cleansing the worship room and arranging the altar.
