Kyalio doesn't merely aim to vend products; rather, it seeks to elevate the realm of healthcare by refining the intricacies of its applications, enhancing efficacy and impact through a “well-though-through” approach of redesigning and reimagining technologies. This publication marks a significant stride in advancing our vision.

I would like to congratulate my friend Petko Tinchev for his great achievements. Since the establishment of GemSeek, Petko and his team, some of the most talented in the country, have been growing GemSeek at a rate that many other entrepreneurs, including myself, could take inspiration from. Being a female leader in SEA and India, it is very different from being a female leader in Europe/US or East Asia. 2023 is a year full of action for Kyalio. We grew the team from 4 people to 8, and established our India operations. After becoming an entrepreneur, I learnt to be even more grateful to every bit of support we receive along the way. Through our alignedvalues withoursupporters, we build momentum, gain trust and curate friendship!

I am honored to receive this award. This award recognizes recent past achievements while inspiring the fulfilment of future potential. Looking back, this startup journey was beyond difficult for me. Moving my career from an MNC director to a humble founder, it wasn't a calculated decision, rather, it was a calling for what needed to be done. It was almost impossible to build a VR surgical library during the global pandemic.4 years on, we are a lean and capable team with bases in Singapore, Taiwan, India and Europe. Our team is growing in depth and calibre everyday. I am proud of our resilient, high octane and adaptable team.A long road lies ahead still. And look forward to taking on the challenges together.

My pleasure to be the program director for SMU Academy Smart Business and Healthcare - Taiwan: AI in Healthcare. A few highlights included a fruitful discussion with the Director General, Dr. Shih Chung-Liang at National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA). We were also honored to be the first Singaporean Group to visit the Heavy Ion Therapy Center at Taipei Veterans General Hospital (costing 150 million USD), the first on the island and the 14th globally. Great discussion on innovations model at the clinical setting with Taipei Medical University, the Office of Business Development.This year, we interacted with more than 20 innovative companies from start-ups to the corporate intrapreneurs, 4 medical & research institutions and 3 innovation accelerators. I would like to thank all the individuals who made this program happen, as well as the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore in offering support during the planning of this program.

As an entrepreneur, I firmly believe that startups with similar operating philosophy would benefit from a healthy ecosystem, especially if we are to scale internationally. On October 24th, I aim to bring a team of healthcare professionals from Singapore to a networking event in Taiwan for a critical review on how we could support each other within the value chain of smart healthcare and AIoT.And of course, if we want a healthy ecosystem, we build one together!

I had the chance to share my 4-year startup journey at Garage+, a prominent accelerator in Taiwan. Reflecting on these years, the pandemic-induced disruptions made the journey exceptionally challenging. Engaging with fellow entrepreneurs, exchanging experiences, and validating strategies was immensely rewarding. Our sincere desire for mutual success generated constructive feedback. Garage+, the Epoch Foundation's accelerator arm, excels in nurturing an environment where entrepreneurs support one another.
