One issue/problem: The " Original Recipe " was not a 'just add water' " complete " pancake mix. It was the old style where mom had to add eggs and milk and oil. So, purchasing plain Pearl pancake mix and adding Buckwheat and Baking Powder ain't likely to replicate the taste us Boomers recall But, I found FOOD LION " Old Fashioned " Pancake and Waffle Mix works nicely. I also worked up a chart for mixing the buckwheat, baking powder and 'original mix' in quantities worth the effort. I also worked it out in milliliters ml and it is more precise, though weight is a better measure than volume IMHO.
